Transfer Deadline Day - Live

00:00 The window is now closed. But watch this space for last minute deals that just were not announced before midnight. I guess that now I'm the only one awake and still counting that something may happen. Which is naive really, and I'm aware of that. Once again it is proven, Ekstraklasa is not Premier League. Which on one hand is clearly bad, but on the other... odd and special. Or something like that.

Never mind the crazy talk, I'm just tired. Be back for more about Polish football soon, I think of changing the usual shape of this blog to make it more enjoyable for readers. See You tomorrow for transfer window round-up.

23:30 30 minutes to go and it looks like nothing will happen in Poland. I guess that most of them sleep already as tomorrow they can find another 10 free players to invite for a trial. Just waiting for last minutes to announce that we are done really.

And, that made me really proud moments ago, this Deadline Day has been mentioned on Guardian Premier League Live Day at 12:11 pm. Thank You very much. Not that it earned me 2000% of normal entrance stats this day.

22:20 Nothing interesting is happening and we have 100 minutes to closing transfer market in Poland. So, without any gossip or deals to report, I've prepared small round up of what already had happened in Ekstraklasa today.

Lechia Gdańsk signed three players. Marek Zieńczuk joined his boyhood club after being released from AO Xanthi, Aleksandr Sazankow was bought from Dynamo Minsk and French Bedi Buval joined them on free transfer.

Wisła Kraków sold two to sign one. Peter Singlar was released earlier that day before news of selling Junior Diaz to Club Brugge came out. Then it was all about new players as midfielder from Morocco, Nouridn Boukhari signed three year contract.

Polonia Warszawa payed 650,000 Euro for Maciej Sadlok to Ruch Chorzów but the player will move to his new club in February. They are also looking at possibility of signing Paweł Golański.

So, 100 minutes to transfer deadline. I'm quite enjoying that day, although noting much had happened. Yet?

21:05 Paweł Golański may sign for Polonia Warszawa this week (or even today). He will talk to their sports director, Paweł Janas about the deal but it looks like very close from being done. He failed in negotiations with Tom Tomsk and Sturm Graz lately so became bit desperate to find new club. Will watch closer news about him.

21:00 I'm back. Did I miss anything? Well let's face it - I missed a lot. So without any special introductions let's get back to business done during last four hours.

Maciej Sadlok will be joining Polonia Warszawa in... February but the deal is already done between capital club and Ruch Chorzów. The fee is about 650,000 Euro for young full back and it is a lot. This deal was on cards and it is not that surprising... maybe that he is joining in four months time, only.

Lechia made some business already, signing Marek Zieńczuk after he was released by AO Xanthi and Belarusian Aleksandr Sazankow from Dynamo Minsk - first one is left midfielder, second is a striker. We heard about them earlier that they may happen so no big surprise either.

And lastly, Wisła Kraków signed on loan (for a season) Nouridn Boukhari, player from Morocco and his last club was Turkish Kasimpasa. Thirty year old midfielder played also in Ajax Amsterdam, NAC Breda and AZ Alkmaar so I guess that Robert Maaskant knows him quite well.

17:00 Radosław Cierzniak is staying at Korona Kielce, despite being on trial in Watford for last week. That means the club won't be signing Mateusz Bąk (Lechia Gdańsk) as his replacement. Cierzniak still has few months left on his deal with Korona and he says that still may be a Watford player... if Scott Loach will move on from there.

And news from national team training camp - Lech Poznan winger, Jacek Kiełb suffered serious knee injury after colliding with Ireneusz Jeleń. He is now in hospital to undergo several tests.

So now, expected break. See You in four hours. Hopefully something happens.

16:00 We've waited for this so long but it seems that Polish transfer market just got moving. Michał Zieliński was loaned out from Korona Kielce to GKS Katowice. Good move for fast winger/striker after tough last year.

But more news to come. French Bedi Buval is now Lechia Gdańsk player. 24-year old was playing in Bolton, Red Star Paris, Randers FC before moving to Greece year ago. Free transfer but it still counts, doesn't it?

And getting bigger with transfer news - Junior Diaz moves from Wisła Kraków to Club Brugge for undisclosed fee, signed three year contract. That means Piotr Brożek is staying at Wisła Kraków and will not be sold to Polonia Warszawa. Good transfer for Diaz but bad for Wisła - he was by far their best defender in last months.

14:45 Nothing interesting right now, without any gossip and deals. So maybe about Piotr Brożek, Wisła Kraków left back? He may be on his way to Polonia Warszawa after his chances of first team football in Kraków are getting slimmer. Former manager, Henryk Kasperczak blamed him for European exit and also new coach, Robert Maaskant is not excited about him. But in Warszawa he wouldn't have starting place right from the start as Tomasz Brzyski is doing good job. Piotr Brożek has serious dilemma right now and offer from Polonia is official...

Technical stuff about this Transfer Deadline Day - I'm off between 17 to 21 for my training session but will get back right after that with interesting news. Be here.

14:05 Kamil Grosicki, Jagiellonia Białystok winger, said that he is staying in his current club for at least half of a season. There was a interest from Aston Villa and Turkish, Greek sides but he didn't want to go on loan but as a definite transfer. But saying so, he also points that there are still 10 hours until transfer window closes and if any interesting offer of definite transfer will come in, he will think about it seriously.

Dawid Nowak will stay in GKS Bełchatów? His childish behavior cost him already losing an agent and 125,000 Euro. His contract with Bełchatów ends with this year and he signed in advance with Polonia Warszawa. Clubs didn't matched their expectations so he was about to play for a round in reserves. Then, he changed his mind and returned money to Polonia Warszawa, lost his agent, and... is back in first squad of GKS Bełchatów. How will it end? Probably in federation court judging on the case. Polonia Warszawa owner says that Nowak is his player from January 1st and contract is on.

13:40 Jagiellonia loaned out some players. Mostly Brazilian striker, Maycon, to Piast Gliwice for a year, and two other young players found their clubs in lower leagues.

What about current Champions, Lech Poznań? After advancing to group stage of Europa League and losing deservedly to Jagiellonia Białystok in the league, they may look for last minute transfers. Especially Sergiej Kisliak from Dynamo Minsk is on the cards and also BATE Borysov full back, Igor Szitow maybe moving to Poznań. They want to loan Jan Schlaudraff from Hannover 96. No Polish players they are interested in.

13:25 First deal done of the day? Not really but the news are really interesting - Peter Singlar terminated his contract with Wisła Kraków and is now free to go wherever he wants to. Signed two years ago made little impact, mostly due to his injuries.

I told You about free players? Well, 'Przegląd Sportowy' has a story about it. Apparently there are some good names on the list: Tomasz Sokołowski (ex-Arka and Legia), Wojciech Szala (former Legia player), Paweł Golański (Steua), Marcin Chmiest (Arka), Remigiusz Jezierski, Wahan Geworgyan (both ex-Jagiellonia), Marek Zieńczuk (Wisła and Amica). Who will find a club today?

13:00 So, the clubs still have eleven hours before the window closes down and some deals are really looking well. Of course, I hope for any kind of stupid gossip like the one from Polish trash press - Fernando Morientes to Legia Warszawa. Well, that one didn't go well as Spaniard ended his great career.

What we can wait for? Clubs are active during the last day, lots of loan deals hopefully and maybe dew blockbusters. Piotr Brożek is close to signing for Polonia Warszawa, few other Polish internationals are without job (as Paweł Golański) and maybe in the center of attention for desperate managers.

And club needs? Legia is looking for a striker as is Lechia Gdańsk and they have few targets already. Will it get serious? If so, I'm on it. Welcome to Polish Transfer Deadline Day Live.
