It will be more about managers than about players but after six rounds of the league some serious questions need to be asked. Few of them having already a nightmare start to the season but lets see how the results turned out.
Lechia Gdańsk 1-0 Cracovia (Buval 36')
Problems mounting for visitors' manager, Rafał Ulatowski as it is six straight defeat this season and there is one hope for them - new stadium opening which is next week. If they don't win that one, Ulatowski probably will be sacked. It's not the attacking option he is lacking but Cracovia's defence is playing awful every time they go out on pitch. And Lechia? The storm is over, fans protest as well and Buval scored on his debut after being cleared to play by FIFA only hours before the game. Good cameo.
Wisła Kraków 2-2 Korona Kielce (Paweł Brożek 44', Wilk 72' - Vuković 47', Niedzielan 83')
Debut for Robert Maaskant on Wisła new stadium (still half open) was a good game but he need three points and again his team lets the goals in too easily. Korona took their chances and played really good at times but Wisła learned their homework and marked Niedzielan very well, only to 83rd minute though. Boukhari made his debut for the home team and was really good but the performance of the night goes to Wilk who played against his former teammates and did better than well.
Górnik Zabrze 1-0 GKS Bełchatów (Zahorski 72')
The type of the game in which the first who makes mistake loses. Although there were mistakes made in both defence lines but hosts were the first ones to take advantage of. Good corner and Zagorski scored. Daniel Sikorski played for most of the time with broken nose but he was so involved and fighting that young striker might be now sure of place in Górnik attacking line. GKS players had their chances but did not play the way they used to in recent weeks, rather hoof it up front than pass it to the net after nice move. Such games happen though.
Widzew Łódź 5-2 Śląsk Wrocław (Robak 28 (pen), 48, 76, Šernas 70, 72 - Ćwielong 32, Sobota 89)
The magic attacking duo literally kicked Śląsk out of the field with great goals... but also with great help of visitors defence line. Every goal that Widzew scored was a result of silly mistake in positioning, marking and passing. Well, apart from the first one, when referee Jarzębak made the biggest mistake this season and pointed to the spot when Sernas fell out in Śląsk box without any contact. Ryszard Tarasiewicz, visitors manager, is now tipped to be the next one to leave his club. Lost in one or two next games and he is out of the job as nothing works well in his team right now.
Zagłębie Lubin 2-1 Legia Warszawa (Plizga 55, Kędziora 79 - Vrdoljak 89 (pen))
It is fourth lost this season for Legia and nothing seems to be working there after last week five players were fined for their behavior or form and another three sent to reserves. With much changed squad they lacked fluidity and confidence but had actually one of the better games from last three that were lost. Problems seems to be over in Lubin where also a meeting with board and the team was held to clear the air. Big win for them and everything seems to be over now.
Polonia Bytom 1-0 Ruch Chorzów (Jarecki 51')
Single goal to settle this one which was pretty poor affair to be honest. More tackling than playing football, both teams gave everything on the pitch but the hosts were the better team even though their best chances were limited to shooting from distance. Jarecki scored from great header after free kick early in the second half and defended well to hold on to one goal lead.
Arka Gdynia 1-0 Jagiellonia Białystok (Labukas 68')
Very surprising result but guests didn't look confident playing on artificial pitch and hosts used it, marked them very close every time, pressed high and converted their chances. It could be rather 2-0 than a draw and it is big success for Pasieka's team. I don't think that it is a sign of crisis in Jagiellonia, more of a one weak performance after impressing games last few weeks.
